Bring Your Own Venue

BYOV Explained

Your venue, your vision!

A Bring Your Own Venue (BYOV) is any venue or location outside the mainstage Vancouver Fringe managed venues. If you didn’t get selected in the lottery or your show is better suited to a unique/unconventional space, a BYOV could be the option for you. Companies applying in the BYOV category will get the chance to perform in unconventional venues on Granville Island – this may include coffee shops, restaurants, and studios.

Below, you’ll find a list of approved BYOVs. This list is a great starting point for artists looking for a home for their Fringe show, but you also have the option to suggest another space! Please note that the Vancouver Fringe is not affiliated with any of the venues. This list is intended to be used as a resource and provide you some contacts to help guide you through this process. If you have a new venue in mind, please get in touch with the venue contact to kick-start the venue approval process. If you are proposing a new venue, please get in touch with us by March 25, 2026 to receive approval

Technical support, number of performances, rehearsals and show times will be determined by the venue.

Selected artists must pay a Fringe participation fee of $400 and will be due by April 16 2026, where we will confirm your spot for the 2026 Vancouver Fringe Festival. In addition to the participation fee there will be a cost associated to each venue, please reach out to them directly for more information.
