Vancouver Fringe 2024

Get involved...

Welcome to the 2024 Vancouver Fringe! If you’re reading this, we hope that means you’re considering entering our 2024 lottery. The Vancouver Fringe Festival has been bringing indie and emerging theatre to Vancouver’s stages for 39 years, and we’re thrilled to celebrate our 40th birthday with another spectacular festival.

Applications for Vancouver Fringe 2024 are closed.

The full results of our lottery draw can be found here.

There are two ways to perform in Vancouver Fringe: you can either enter our lottery draw for a spot at a mainstage venue(these applications are now closed) or apply to participate in one of our special categories as outlined below. If your show is drawn in the lottery, you will have the opportunity to perform multiple times over an 11-day festival, plus access to hundreds of other shows, events, workshops and more.

For successful lottery applicants, Vancouver Fringe will take care of your venue, schedule, and all your production needs (within reason). Participants in all categories get to use our box office system, have access to support from our marketing department, and receive a listing in the Fringe program guide.

We’re proud to present a huge range of genres and experience levels. Whatever your vision is for your next project, we’re here to help you put it on stage (or field, or coffee shop..) – the Fringey-er the better.

Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions at artist@vancouverfringe.com.

All submissions require a $45 Application Fee. Please ensure you have read all documentation before submitting your application. clo

Fringe Festival 2024: Lottery Info

Vancouver Fringe takes pride in its ever-eclectic program, with shows staged in-person on some of the best stages in BC or in unique site-specific locations.

The shows we present span the likes of theatre, dance, spoken word, comedy, opera, improv and more, with something on offer for almost all ages – from 8 to 108.

Please Note: All acts drawn in our Fringe Lottery now have until Wednesday, March 15th to pay their participation fees and secure their spot in this year’s Festival.

Should your show be pulled from the lottery draw, you have three weeks to confirm your participation and pay a deposit to secure your spot. Should you choose not to participate at this stage (or the confirmation deadline has passed), we will begin approaching artists on the waitlist to fill the vacancy.
