A musical comedy
Briefly introduce yourself/your company…
We are an enthusiastic group of musical theatre lovers who have joined together to rally around this new piece of theatre by playwright Glynis Whiting and composer Richard Link!
What is it that makes your work/company unique?
The piece is brand new, never before performed, and the acting company are all new to each other. It has been such a treat learning the play but also learning each other! At the same time, the creators and the director have a long history of working and playing together!
What kind of experience do you hope audiences will have during your show?
The play is fun, thoughtful, tuneful and the dilemma will be easily recognisable to folks if they have ever gone through a home renovation, but has resonance for anyone that has been through ANY conflict in their lives and come out singing about it! The relationships are recognizable, the problems universal, and the songs are memorable! I know everyone will leave thinking about the importance of The Company They Keep.
Without spoilers, tell us what you think audiences will remember most about your show…
The absurd situations, the sweet blossoming love story, the new songs, the fast pace, the heroes and the villains and every character in between. And a singing toilet.
Tell us about your participation in the Fringe’s mentorship program and how it’s helped shape your Fringe experience.
Jill Raymond was a great help, especially with promotion of the show!
