60 Seconds With… Brishkay Ahmed from ‘Uncomfortable Conversation’

Quirky dramedy about agency. migration, and resistance.

Briefly introduce yourself/your company…

Digital Warriors Productions creates bold, engaging, and entertaining content for both stage and screen.

Rooted in the philosophy that collaboration sparks opportunity and fosters creativity, founder Brishkay Ahmed champions innovative storytelling through powerful creative partnerships. The company is committed to challenging biases, questioning the status quo, and presenting thought-provoking works that inspire dialogue and connection.

With an additional mandate to support emerging artists—particularly BPOC and female-identifying creators—Digital Warriors Productions provides space and opportunity for new voices to rise. Its stories often center on strong female protagonists who ask essential questions about our rights, identity, and shared humanity.

What is it that makes your work/company unique?

Our work blends bold storytelling with cultural depth, creating content that entertains while sparking dialogue around complex social themes. We specialize in stage and screen projects that challenge biases, question the status quo, and spotlight underrepresented perspectives—particularly BPOC and female-identifying creators.

What truly sets us apart is our dual focus on impactful narratives and emerging talent development. We provide opportunities for new talent to rise by fostering inclusive creative partnerships and producing thought-provoking works that explore essential questions about rights, identity, and humanity. We’re not afraid to raise uncomfortable conversations.

What kind of experience do you hope audiences will have during your show?

We want audiences to feel both entertained and provoked—laughing at the quirky humor while reflecting on the deeper questions about intimacy, agency, and cultural expectations.

By blending comedy and drama, we aim to create an experience that is engaging and thought-provoking— encouraging audiences to question the rules they’ve been taught about relationships, identity, and autonomy.

Without spoilers, tell us what you think audiences will remember most about your show…

We hope the audience will clap and enjoy our little quirky dance number.

Tell us about your participation in the Fringe’s mentorship program and how it’s helped shape your Fringe experience.

I got mentored with Ryan Gladstone and he was very kind. Explaining the process and reminding me to… mostly… have fun… and not take it all too seriously. Additonally, Natasha Nadir mentored us, too. Best advice was…Enjoy Fringe! It’s my first fringe and it’s the first fringe for our entire team. We are going to watch shows and have fun at our show!
