Angels and ministers of grace defend us! Everybody knows the Bard wrote some great plays, like Titus Andronicus, King John, and Henry VIII, but what about his playlist? Was he into pop, rock, indie, country, folk, punk, or all of the above? Fringe veterans Steel Wolf, who brought you the musicals Lord Cross of Black Harbour (Fringe 2022) and TrudeauMania (sold out at Waterfront Theatre in Fringe 2023) present Shakespeare Sings!, a selection of some of the Bard's most popular scenes in a variety of settings from contemporary to the Wild West, with some twists and turns, and original songs ranging from pop to punk to rock, indie, acapella folk, and country, all performed by a cast of dynamic young singer/actors from Vancouver’s top theatre schools, with some very special guests. Meet some of Shakespeare's most popular characters, including Romeo and Juliet, Hamlet, Ophelia, Falstaff, Richard III, Bottom the Weaver, and of course the ambitious Thane of Cawdor, the man who would be King of Scotland, and hear them sing!
