Pulsive Party

This solo show explores how we deal with the parts of ourselves that get lost, found, or in the way while on the path to where we are going, and the patterns we repeat along the way.

This will be a clown show, but perhaps not obviously. You may recognize yourself in parts of the character's journey, but don't worry, all personal details and likeness have been altered, and any creative liberties or extensions are simply for dramatic effect.

Ashley (they/them) uses their creative practice to help them reflect on their inner world, and performances as an extension of that practice and our interconnectedness. They see the patterns, pieces, and processes of life and art-making as related and referential, and the acts of performing or being creative as human acts that some humans choose to do on a stage, but all do, in some way, in many moments of their lives. They hope these ideas comment on an experience of living in a way that brings levity and compassion to audiences in a parallel way to what creating the show has brought them.

From half the creative team of Pulsive Party, known for their musical physical comedy shows titled ‘Lip Service’, which use humour and play to invite the tragic to be comedic, and encourage access to sexual health.
