A Moment With T, the Solo Traveler
Thembelihle Moyo

Unlock the laughter, unleash the truth! Come share A Moment with T - The Solo Traveler. Thembie Moyo unapologetically and humorously shares stories of her life’s past struggles to present triumphs living in Zimbabwe and later moving to Canada with her two daughters. Mistakes were made though they also led to great insights in self-discovery. Thembie’s now really sure of who she is and who she isn’t!
Born and raised in Zimbabwe, Thembie Moyo is an award-winning TV producer, playwright, storyteller, multimedia artist, and a proud mother of two daughters. Her plays like I Want to Fly (2019), It’s Just Black Hair (2022), and Unbroken Chains of Ndondo (2023) work to uplift marginalized voices and confront uncomfortable truths.
Thembie’s stories are contrasted by Nathan Hellner-Mestelman's Chai and Dry.
They say there’s always a light at the end of the tunnel. Fresh out of the backwash of a high school career of writing and astronomy, 18-year-old Nathan Hellner-Mestelman now tackles a new frontier of research: whatever the hell this “social life” fiasco is all about. Chai and Dry is a neurodivergently neurotic tale of eye doctors, university apps, coming of age, and, God forbid, high school romance––because even at the best of times, the light at the end of the tunnel may truly be an oncoming train.
Nathan Hellner-Mestelman is the author of Cosmic Wonder (2024) and The Language of the Stars (2025), and runs the planetarium at the Dominion Astrophysical Observatory, meaning he earns his modest wage by sparking existential crises in innocent citizens.
