Robin Redbreast in a Cage

Golgonoozans

A speculative near future. A survivalist hallucination. A marriage of heaven and hell.

Robin Redbreast in a Cage is a bold new climate parable inspired by William Blake’s Book of Thel. Set in a speculative near future, the play follows characters caught between corporate AI control, ecological collapse, and the fragile threads of resistance. Blending myth, protest, and raw human intimacy, it asks: what happens when we must choose between the inhuman and the more-than-human?

Part poetic vision, part survival story, Robin Redbreast in a Cage offers a powerful mix of dark humour, ecological urgency, and theatrical invention. Written in homage to William Blake’s 200th death anniversary (2026), and brought to life through a collaborative ensemble process, this is dark, lyrical, burning climate theatre.
