Today, we are thrilled to unveil our brand-new website alongside the launch of our full 2022 Festival line-up.
Developed in-house by our Marketing & Communications Manager, the new website not only streamlines the ticket buying process for both new and returning audiences, but also acts to enhance the Vancouver Fringe brand with bespoke imagery that reflects this year’s vibrant key image.
Text-heavy pages from the old website are a thing of the past – now being replaced with punchy visuals and concise ‘need to know’ information. That means no more guff(!) and a user experience which feels smooth and easy to navigate no matter where on the site you are.

The latest performances can now be found front and center on the Homepage, with the wider array only one click further on the full Festival page. Loglines underline each performance, with expanded descriptions and show information available on individual performance pages. This structure has been designed to support audiences with their ticket selections in a way that feels familiar to that of traditional festival guides, but with greater flexibility to add information as artists’ shows develop. In alignment with our digital-forward approach, our Festival Guide for this year has similarly been streamlined to encourage bookings online (pick one up from select locations on Granville Island today).
Our Donate strand has also been given new prominence on the top navigation menu. As a non-profit, Vancouver Fringe relies on the generous contributions of its patrons, sponsors and cultural partners. Within this section of the site, audiences can discover the various ways in which they can support the continued operations of the organization, ensuring a future for the Festival for years to come.

All the usual Booking Information remains, featuring venue info, frequently asked questions and more, with a Master Schedule and Merchandise menu items soon to make an appearance – stay tuned!
Matt Ostrehan, Marketing & Communications Manager said:
“It’s incredibly gratifying to see the new site live and kicking after months of build work behind-the-scenes. This project has been all about enrichening the experience of our audiences from their very first interaction, so for me it was essential that our new website could be responsive to their needs. Gone is the now dated blog-style format of the past, and in comes a bold new design that places emphasis on our core areas of activity. I hope this year’s Festival crowd are just as pleased with it as we are.”
