What it Takes to Tour a Fringe Show
November 4th, 4pm PT, 5pm MT The producer/performers behind Rat Academy and Rat Academy 2: Gnaw and Order are here to give you all the tips you might want to know about what it takes to tour a fringe show! Dayna Lea Hoffmann and Katie Yoner, co-founders of Batrabbit Collective, will cover topics including applications, budgeting, accommodations and well-being for fringe artists new to touring. The workshop will be followed by a Q + A session. Collective Bio: Batrabbit Collective is an ad-hoc theatre collective that explores and challenges the role of women and non-binary artists in comedy and clown. Their productions have toured across Canadian fringe festivals, as well as presented with theatres including High Performance Rodeo (Calgary, AB), Pi Theatre (Vancouver, BC) Intrepid Theatre (Victoria, BC), Theatre Network (Edmonton, AB) and Vancouver Fringe (Upcoming). Their productions of Rat Academy and Rat Academy 2: Gnaw and Order have won multiple awards including three Sterling awards and are currently touring nationally. This workshop is free to attend.
