I Fear Love

I Fear Love (Winner of the Artistic Risk Award, Vancouver Fringe 2024) is a game show, live comedy, memoir medley written and performed by Katie Voravong.
“The show where I wear my heart on my sleeve. Watch me take it, eat it and break it on stage. It might even skip a beat.”

“...I didn’t fear love—I feared the show ending...When my hand wasn’t covering my mouth, it was over my heart. Wow."
- Tetsuro Shigematsu, Playwright of Empire of the Son & 1 Hour Photo
"...Voravong makes a very technical and highly structured performance feel genuine, funny and revelatory.”
- Heidi Taylor, Dramaturg & former AED of Playwrights Theatre Centre
“... Katie was able to achieve what so many playwrights set out to do—to start meaningful and interesting conversations... I hope that you get the chance to experience this local gem of a show...!"
- Siobhan Powell, Rentals Manager (24/25) of The Cultch
“...It was engaging and unpredictable in the best way...It takes a special kind of performer to pull that off, and she did it beautifully.”
