Puppet Makers Workshop

Ever wonder how the coolest stuff gets made for theatre?

Kids ages 8–12 will learn to build their very own giant parade puppets using simple materials you can find anywhere. Learn how to conceive and construct epic puppet characters that inspire and excite the imagination. This hands-on experience shares the ideas behind design and what it’s like to create for theatre, and it ends with a parade!

The workshop will take place outdoors under shade and is subject to outside noise and distraction. It may include supervised use of tempera paints, glue, tape, scissors, and other light construction and artistic tools and implements. Accessible washrooms will be available close by. Caregivers and other family are invited to remain close by, observe, and take part if space and time permit. We also have low-barrier activities for kids of all ages.

with Carousel Theatre for Young People

Welcome to Club Carousel, where families can let loose, build community, and bop to beats by DJ Softieshan. Featuring free snacks and a live DJ, Baby Raves are fun-filled environments for the very young and the young at heart to connect with their own personal rhythm and creative movement.

This event features amplified music.

Circus Lab

This performance features a group of young artists with backgrounds in circus, dance, and gymnastics, bringing their diverse disciplines together in one collaborative performance. Audiences can expect an exciting blend of contortion, tumbling, and aerial acrobatics, including aerial silks and other unique apparatus not often seen.
