This week, we are delighted to announce the newest member of the Fringe team. Sam Bourne joins us as our new Communications & Development Manager.
As the Vancouver Fringe prepares for the 2026 Festival, we are excited to welcome Sam and look forward to having him help us tell the story of the Vancouver Fringe.
Sam comes to the Fringe with extensive experience as a fundraiser and a lifelong passion for theatre. He is a queer, white, cisman born and raised in south-western Ontario. He grew up between rows of tobacco plants and theatre seats, equally at home on the soil of the family farm as on the boards of the school stage. Sam is excited to be joining the Fringe after a decade-plus career in the social sector, including time with the Arts Club, Bard on the Beach, Out on Screen, and the BC Cancer Foundation.
“Sam joins the Fringe at a critical moment of growth and experimentation,” said Duncan Watts-Grant, Executive Director. “I am looking forward to him joining our team as we reflect on the impact of the Fringe and our exciting future.”
