Whale Fall

Same Boat Theatre

Whale Fall is a new one act drama about the extinction of Canada’s Southern Resident Orca population and one woman's journey to find the last remaining whales, while struggling to hold on to the memory of her father. Part coming of age story and part fable for the era of climate change, Whale Fall is an intimate duet that navigates the troubled waters of family, memory and species extinction. The winner of the Hamilton Fringe 'Critics Pick Award' and 2nd place winner of the Hamilton Fringe New Play Contest in 2022, Whale Fall incorporates movement and storytelling to tell a cautionary, captivating and authentic story of transformation, self discovery and what we leave behind for those we love.
