UNPACKING: The Art of Making a Short Story Long

Cherry Blossom Lane Productions

Over the course of her life, Rebecca Erin Curtis has moved fifteen times. This time, she's doing it differently. Two months after the worst day of her life, she faces her next biggest struggle: attending theatre school.

UNPACKING: the art of making a short story long is a musical review of the last decade of her life. Between many moves, two theatre programs, and one boy, she weaves her tale of growth, grief, and hope with anecdotes and musical numbers. Rebecca unspools revelations in her life as a celebration of individuality and determination, narrating her journey back to herself without trimming out many details.

As a neurodivergent actor, she finds the best stories are never short. As a graduate from Capilano and MacEwan University's theatre programs, she has been working in the lower Mainland with various theatre companies. Known for her energetic and honest performances, Rebecca Erin Curtis makes her Fringe solo show debut.
