In a barn that smells like horse shit, pre-pubescent armpits, and an inflated sense of freedom, six thirteen-year-olds strike up an ongoing, high-stakes game of Truth or Dare. The rules are simple: no cop outs or you’ll be banned from the group forever. Fuelled by boredom and impulse, the game escalates into a self-perpetuating madness as childhood innocence is met with the darkness of the teenage mind. With abusive stepmothers, alcoholic fathers, and rural mindsets, the kids fight for control in a world that seems stacked against them. The Truth and Darers only play the game as fair, so will they continue to follow the rules, or will they know when to draw the line?
