Ever wonder how the coolest stuff gets made for theatre?

Kids ages 8–12 will learn to build their very own giant parade puppets using simple materials you can find anywhere. Learn how to conceive and construct epic puppet characters that inspire and excite the imagination. This hands-on experience shares the ideas behind design and what it’s like to create for theatre, and it ends with a parade!

The workshop will take place outdoors under shade and is subject to outside noise and distraction. It may include supervised use of tempera paints, glue, tape, scissors, and other light construction and artistic tools and implements. Accessible washrooms will be are invited to remain close by, observe, and take part if space and time permit. We also have low-barrier activities for kids of all ages.
