Canon Fire: The Improvised Musical
VMIC
Why travel abroad when Vancouver already has a Broadway AND a West End? Watch six improvisors and two musicians create a brand-new musical right before your eyes with no script, no pre-written music, and no safety net, solely inspired by audience suggestions and the stories you may have missed from your very own hometown newspaper. From local jaywalking scandals to bizarre community board disputes, no local story is too small to be given the grand, show-stopping musical treatment.
Featuring a cast of some of Vancouver’s best up-and-coming improvisors, (and maybe even some surprise guests), you'll find yourself laughing to the beat as you witness a story that may never be told again, but whose choruses you'll find yourself humming for quite some time.
Directed by Vancouver improvisors Bradley Duffy and Rachel Kent with musical director Daniel Simmons, each evening features a completely different mix of the larger, powerhouse Canon Fire cast, creating unique opportunities to see something special. Don't miss your chance to see _____, The Musical!

"It's amazing to see all the moving moving parts come together, this show walks that fine line between preparation and discovery. Each actor adds something so unique to the ensemble. -Bradley Duffy
