BRUNCH: The Musical
C. + M. MacEwan
Imagine your favourite brunch place; your go-to Eggs Benedict. What makes it so special to you? For the Maître-D’, brunch just might be the answer to all the world’s problems. But could a soft poached egg really have that power? To change people’s lives?
BRUNCH: The Musical connects traditional musical theatre practices to experimental approaches. It explores how live performance can spark different senses, like the sense of smell for example (think freshly brewed coffee or baked snickerdoodles), to create a delightfully absurd and memorable show. BRUNCH: The Musical won the Fowler Family award for playwriting at the TD Festival of New Works at the Canadian College of Performing Arts and is still frequently used as an example of a hugely successful and impactful product of the Festival.
In the grand tradition of The Deipnosophistae, BRUNCH: The Musical explores the importance of connection, philosophy and Eggs Florentine.
Join Michael and the Maître D' as they navigate the world of relationships, love, and loss. A soupçon of serious with a generous dollop of humour and a feast of new music.
BRUNCH: The Musical debuted to rave reviews and delighted wonder. Come be sufficiently suffonsified with this curated collection of artisanal artistry.

"Brunch is an amuse bouche of joy, served on a platter of wit, and wrapped up in a warm mug of delight. I hate lines, but I would absolutely line up for this Brunch."
