Today is September 16 which means you have only today and tomorrow to get your Fringe on! There is still a lot going on. But what to do? Rock out to the impressive lineup of local music at the Big Rock Brewery Fringe Bar! See some of the 100 shows! You may not have a chance to see them again! Head out there before it’s too late!

You can buy tickets online, at the Box Office, or at the venue starting 45 minutes before show time, if they’re not sold out. You have 48 hours to get your fill of the Fringe before it’s gone—the clock is ticking!

If you’ve spent the last nine days on Granville Island and feel a little Fringed out, we have a solution for you! See MORE Fringey shows—off Island, at any of our seven off-Island venues! Here’s how you can show us some off-Island love.

For a (very slight) change of scenery, head up to Studio 16 on West 7th. Or experience a little Fringe nostalgia and feel “Alive on the Drive” for shows at The Cultch Historic Theatre and the Vancity Culture Lab, home to the Dramatic Works Series, Havana, and Ocean and Crow Yoga. Or visit our Downtown Eastside venues Firehall Arts Centre and Woodwards Atrium!

It’s true—we’re everywhere! To find out more about shows off-Island, take a look at our Program Guide, which sorts shows by venue. And find addresses and maps to all our venues here!

Wrapping up the Fringe with the Artists’ Cabaret and Awards Night!

The Vancouver Fringe Festival is coming to a close but that doesn’t mean it’s over yet! In fact, we still have two exciting events headed your way: the Artist Cabaret and Awards Night!

What can we tell you about the Artist Cabaret? Not much actually. As it turns out, the Artist Cabaret is a super top secret performance completely put together by Fringe Artists—Fringe Staff are strictly kept out of the loop. We only know these three things: Firstly, it’s called the Big Brother’s Cabaret of Bullshit. Secondly, it’s completely lit by flashlights (brought from home or purchased by donation at the door). And finally, it sells out every year! Has that peaked your interest? Then we’ll see you Saturday, September 16 at 11:00pm at Performance Works! Tickets are $15 and are only sold at the door—so be sure to arrive 45 minutes early!

And if you haven’t gotten your fill of the Fringe on Saturday, come Sunday for Fringe Awards Night! We are happy to announce that your entrance fee, which is by cash donation, will be going to support the Performing Arts Lodges (PAL), an organization which provides longstanding members of Vancouver’s performing arts professions with affordable housing.

Once you’re in, prepare yourself for a celebration hosted by none other than Morgan Brayton of Pick Plus show Give It Up! We’ll be announcing the winners of the 2017 Public Market Pick of the Fringe Awards aka the hottest selling shows at the Fringe who will return for hold-over performances from September 20-24 at Performance Works. We’ll also be announcing our other nine awards including the Cultchivating the Fringe Award which grants the winner a run in The Cultch’s 2018/2019 season, the BC Touring Council Award, which offers mentorship and a showcase spot at Pacific Contact, the Spirit of the Fringe Award, given in honour of our departing Executive Director David Jordan, and of course, the Volunteer Choice Award!

And if you make it through all of that, we will also be drawing the winners for our Final Raffle which include prizes from G Adventures, Hilton Whistler Resort and Spa, Nita Lake Lodge, and Float House.

Fringe Awards Night takes place Sunday, September 17 at 9:30pm at Performance Works. We want to see all of you there to celebrate the last day of the Festival!
