The Vancouver International Fringe Festival accepts productions from
all over the world. Artists are drawn through a lottery system. Those
companies not selected are put on the “waiting” list in the order they
were drawn. Groups are moved off the “waiting” list to the “in” list as
space becomes available.

The Fringe provides mainstage performance companies with the following:
- A venue equipped with lighting, sound and stage
- 1 technician
- Tickets, ticket sellers and front-of-house services
- Performance schedule
- Pre-sales of tickets
- Publicity and media exposure
- A technical rehearsal
- 100% of the box office to the performing company
