What a Festival!

This was quite possibly the best Festival in our 27 years!

We closed it out with a standing room only event at Performance Works to celebrate the artists and shows that particularly stood out with the 2011 Fringe Awards.  Toby Berner emceed our recognition of this year’s Pick of the Fringe holdover shows, as well as other artists who rose to the peak of the Fringe!

Once again, admission was by cash donation to the Greater Vancouver Food Bank Society.  We raised several hundred dollars for the Food Bank at the door which, added to artist contributions throughout the 2011 Festival, totaled over $1700.  Capitalizing on the Food Bank’s ability to turn one dollar of cash into three dollars of food, together we raised over $5000 worth of food!

Kudos to the 2011 Fringe Artists and their supporters!!!
